Nairobi synod donates clothes for victims of Tana river clashes

The Nairobi synod donated clothing and shoes to go towards helping the victims of the clashes in the Tana river area. The items were donations given by the members of the different Methodist Churches in the Nairobi synod.

The Bishop of Nairobi Synod, Bishop Samuel Kathia, when presenting the donations to the humanitarian relief & church development department of the conference office, said that the donations are a way of Christians reaching out to the less fortunate and also fulfill the words of Jesus in Matt 25:36 “I was naked and you clothed me…” and thereby expressing the love of Jesus by actions.

He also encouraged the other Synods of the Methodist Church to give donations.
